STORIES BY SOFIA JAYNE
BIO
I have been a writer all my life, and words have always been my way of navigating the world around me.
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Communications, majoring in journalism at RMIT University (having also completed two years at La Trobe University). As I pursue my studies, I am developing a portfolio of work to be published across various platforms. Focussing on social and political issues, I aim to use my writing as a platform to create awareness about humanitarian issues and to advocate for systemic change.

PUBLISHED ARTICLES

UPSTART
During my time at La Trobe University I contributed to upstart online magazine, writing articles on politics and society.
As my passions lie in advocating for social change and in trying to develop a more diverse media landscape, I have let these articles be guided by the minority voices who know the issues best.

TROUBLE JUICE
Trouble Juice is an online magazine aimed at supporting local Australian artists, whilst also keeping the public up to date with the local scene. Over the last year and a half, I have had the pleasure of writing premieres and conducting interviews with a number of incredible local acts.

Catch me on SYN!
You can catch me on air every Wednesday night from 6-8pm on The Hoist.
Tune in to 90.7FM each week, as my co-host Lola and I share some of our favourite local music.

If you missed a few shows, you can still listen back to my interviews on Spotify.
